RiverGate RSS Reader 2.4 is a client program for retrieving latest news feeds from RSS URLs. RSS is a new mechanism to receive updates from websites that have this functionality.
RiverGate RSS Reader comes with 11 different predefined RSS feeds and you can add as many as you want. A nice feature is that you can arrange your RSS feeds in different customized folders. The program's interface looks somewhat similar to Microsoft Outlook Express, which makes it easier to read news descriptions through the preview panel. An important feature is that we are allowed to automatically update our RSS feeds and grab the latest news, being able to control the update frequency and even update feeds manually through the "Tools" menu. You can export your current RSS URLS to a FeedRe file and you can reopen it again anytime. You can subscribe easily to any RSS feed through the "File" menu, or by using the shortcut key "CTRL + B" and entering the feed URL. This program is a very stable RSS reader and it is sure worth a try. |
